Legal Food Frenzy Raises Money to Provide 225,000 Meals, With Berman DeValerio Topping Its Field

June 1, 2017

Berman DeValerio raised enough funds to provide 15,000 meals for the Greater Boston Food Bank as part of the two-week Legal Food Frenzy. That is more than any other firm of its size, making it the winner of the charitable challenge in the “medium firm” category.

Overall, the 8th Annual Legal Food Frenzy competition raised money to provide 225,000 meals for Massachusetts food banks. The food will be distributed to food pantries, soup kitchens, and shelters throughout Massachusetts.

“The Greater Boston Food Bank is a lifeline to those in need, and we are proud to support its efforts every year,” said Boston partner Leslie Stern, who organizes the firm’s effort for the organization.

The Greater Boston Food Bank’s customers include vulnerable populations; one-third of those the organization helps are children and one-fifth are seniors. In 2016, the organization distributed 57.7 million pounds of food throughout 190 cities and towns in Massachusetts.
