In its reporting, Chambers stated, “Berman Tabacco is a respected securities litigation group with a national practice, favored by numerous major institutional investors across the US.  It regularly acts for statewide retirement systems, public funds, and pension plans on significant class action concerns.”  Alongside the firm, four Berman Tabacco partners were individually recognized as among top U.S. litigators—three in Litigation: Securities and one in Antitrust: Mainly Plaintiff.

For Litigation: Securities, San Francisco partners Joseph J. Tabacco, Jr. and Nicole Lavallee and Boston partner Leslie R. Stern were recognized.  San Francisco partner Todd Seaver was recognized for Antitrust: Mainly Plaintiff litigation.

This is the 20th consecutive year that Joe has been ranked, with Chambers lauding him as a “highly regarded plaintiffs’ lawyer who regularly advises on high-stakes class actions and derivative suits.”   Moreover, Chambers quotes a client or colleague as stating that “he is calm under pressure, thinks strategically, and always adds value.”

Nicole, the Managing Partner of the firm’s San Francisco office and a member of its Executive Committee, was recognized for her sixth time.  Chambers remarked that Nicole “is an experienced securities litigator who frequently acts for investors and shareholders to bring claims against public companies.”  Additionally, Chambers quotes a client or colleague as stating, “Nicole is the person I want with me when going into battle.  She is determined and a great tactician.”

Leslie, also a member of the firm’s Executive Committee, was recognized for her third consecutive year, with Chambers highlighting her “strong track record and substantial expertise representing plaintiffs, including notable retirement systems, in securities fraud and derivative actions.  About Leslie, a client remarked that she “is a great attorney in the securities litigation space.”

For Antitrust: Mainly Plaintiff, San Francisco partner Todd A. Seaver was recognized as among the top attorneys in California.  About Todd, Chambers wrote that he “is an experienced antitrust practitioner with expertise handling matters for plaintiffs.  He frequently acts for clients in the financial and pharmaceutical sectors.”

“We are honored by Chambers’ continued recognition of our firm and partners—a testament to the hard work put in day in and day out for our clients and injured class members by our entire team,” said Daniel Barenbaum, a partner in Berman Tabacco’s San Francisco office and a member of the firm’s Executive Committee.
