OVERVIEW

In 1982, Norman Berman co-founded Berman DeValerio & Pease, LLP, a predecessor to Berman Tabacco.  He focuses his practice principally on complex securities litigation.

A seasoned litigator with over three decades of experience, Mr. Berman concentrates his practice on class actions involving securities fraud.  A longtime advocate of shareholders' rights, he heads up the firm's mergers and acquisitions litigation practice.  He also oversees and coordinates the firm's electronic discovery programs.

During the course of his career, Mr. Berman has litigated numerous cases to successful resolution recovering many millions of dollars on behalf of defrauded investors.  He has considerable trial experience in both state and federal courts. Prior to co-founding Berman DeValerio & Pease, LLP in 1982, Mr. Berman was associated with the Boston-based general practice firms Barron & Stadfeld, P.C. and Harold Brown & Associates.
